Chapter One – THE SIMPLE REQUEST
It began with a tired old floor.
The brief was straightforward: swap out the worn carpet for something more practical — sleek, durable LVT flooring. A quick job, or so it seemed. The kitchen itself was plain and functional, still waiting for its Howdens wall units, its character not yet defined.

A flooring job became a full transformation.
Standing in that kitchen, tape measure in hand, it became clear a new floor alone wouldn’t do the space justice. Missing wall units left the room feeling incomplete. One idea led to another, and the project quietly grew into a full-scale kitchen renovation.

Chapter Three – STRIPPED TO THE BONES
A stroke of luck, and some serious rewiring.
We stripped the space back completely — and struck gold. The plumbing was already perfectly placed, so the wet block could stay exactly where it was, saving time and cost. But the hob and oven needed more than a fresh coat of paint behind them: they needed power. So we ran heavier-duty cabling built to handle serious cooking for years to come, ready for the new Howdens units, luxury vinyl tile flooring, and a sleek acrylic worktop to come together on top.
